Donald Trump’s executive order banning travel from terrorism-plagued nations remains one of his most controversial actions since taking office.

Opponents claim it unfairly targets Muslim-majority nations, while supporters see it as a common-sense solution to the security issues facing America today.

Two separate versions of President Trump’s travel ban were struck down by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, widely seen as the nation’s most liberal.

But now, the Supreme Court has ruled that the temporary injunctions against Trump’s travel ban be lifted, except in one narrow circumstance where a current visa holder has “bona fide relationships with a person or entity in the United States.”

This means that the President’s executive order goes back into effect, and the Court gave an indication it will be upheld when they hear arguments on the case in October.
