Donald Trump Jr. has released the entire chain of email correspondence with a Russian lawyer in an attempt to clear the air regarding their meeting at Trump Tower in 2016.

The Democrats and many in the media believe this is the so-called “smoking gun” they have been looking for to confirm illegal collusion between Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the Russian government.

But Republicans and Trump supporters have largely dismissed these claims as overblown, as no actual cooperation took place as a result of the meeting, while also noting Trump, Jr.’s transparency draws a stark contrast from Hillary Clinton’s evasive behavior regarding her personal email server controversy.
